Eva L. “Lois”  Picking, 75, of Salina, passed away Thursday, April 25th, at Salina Regional Health Center.

Lois was born in Francis, Oklahoma on February 25, 1938, to the late Fred Lee and Mary Jane (Henson) Matthews.

On May 11, 1956, she married Gerald “Jerry” Picking in Bentonville, Arkansas.  He precedes her in death.  Lois was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.

Survivers include daughter, Susan Picking, of Salina; son, Randy Picking, and wife Vivian, of Salina; grandsons, Daniel Picking and Jason Picking, both of Salina; granddaughter, Jennifer Picking, of Salina; sisters, Letha Linebarger, of Francis, Oklahoma, and Wanda Vititow, of Sulphur Springs, Texas.

She is also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.  Family will greet friends from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Graveside services will be at Livingston Union Cemetery in rural Abilene, Kansas, at 10:00 am, Monday, April 29th,  with Pastor Loran Forbes officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Saline County Commission on Aging, 245 N. 9th, Salina, Kansas 67401.
