Eleanor F. Woolverton, 89, of Salina, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013. She was born Jan. 3, 1924, in New London, Conn., to Alfred and Amelia (Rose) Kuhn.

On Sept. 23, 1948, she married the Rev. Harvey L. Woolverton at the West Point Chapel in West Point, New York. In 1985, she moved to Salina from Colorado, where she had lived for more than 20 years. Eleanor was a homemaker and a member of Christ Cathedral.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Harvey L. Woolverton, in 1985, and a daughter, Dr. Heather L. Woolverton, in 2009.

Survivors include a daughter, Harvetta VonFange and husband, Alan, of Salina; brother, Walter Kuhn, of Quaker Hill, Conn.; sister, Linda Schepler and husband, Dorvin, of Fort Collins, Colo.; granddaughter, Kristina Freeland and husband, Michael, and two great-grandsons, Gabriel and Dominic Freeland, all of Salina.

There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Christ Cathedral, 138 S. Eighth, Salina. Burial will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Christ Cathedral. Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina is handling arrangements.
