John Russell Peppiatt, 56, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at his home near Ellsworth. He was born August 11, 1959 in Ellsworth to Fred and Vivian (Barta) Peppiatt.
A lifetime resident of Ellsworth, John married Mary Miley, April 25, 1981, in Kanopolis. He was a longtime employee of Cashco, Inc. where he was a tool maker. John was an accomplished runner and enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, raising cattle, and creating habitat for the wildlife he loved.
John is survived by his wife Mary of Ellsworth; son, Jake (Crystal) of Shawnee, KS; daughter, Leah Hyman (Chad) of Manhattan; grandchildren, Brynn, Jack, and Eleanore; parents, Fred and Vivian Peppiatt of Ellsworth; sisters, Valerie Janzen (Mike) of Geneseo and Nancy Hysong (George) of Ellsworth; and brother, Andrew Peppiatt (Kay) of Salina.
Visitation: 1-8 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth with family present 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Parsons Funeral Home.
