SOLOMON — Bruce A. Keeler, 78, died Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born March 15, 1935, in rural Lincoln County. Bruce was employed for 31 years at Raytheon where he worked as an aircraft technician.
He was a devoted husband, father and avid fisherman who loved traveling, music and the great outdoors.
He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Elsie (Wallace), of Solomon; four daughters, Lisa Peterson and Terri Leach, both of Salina, Mary Rettele, of Coffeyville, and Elizabeth Waddle, of Solomon; three sons-in-law, Monty Leach, Garrick Rettele and Bradley Waddle; sister, Kathy Arnold, of Wilsey; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Ryan Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Kristin LaDawn Tyler, 27, of Salina, Kansas, passed away.
Kristin was born in Nampa, Idaho on July 13, 1985, daughter of Lisa (Wood) Dockstader, of Salina, Kansas and Marshall Greeley, of Boise, Idaho.
She worked as a CNA and was in school to become an RN.
Survivors include her parents, Lisa Dockstader and husband Ron, of Salina, Kansas and Marshall Greeley and wife Karen, of Boise, Idaho., daughter, Madison, of Salina, Kansas; sons, Jailyn, Brycen, and Aiden, all of Salina, Kansas, Blaize, of Arkansas; sisters, Karryle Prescher of Salina, Kansas, Kandie Greeley of Wichita, Kansas, Michelle Greeley of Boise, Idaho, Gina Branham of Boise, Idaho, Melonie McMullen of Nampa, Idaho, Melissa Mowery of Nampa, Idaho, Haley Dockstader of Salina, Kansas, Caitlin Dockstader of Salina, Kansas; brother, Robbie Hayes of Idaho, Shawn Aguiniga of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandparents Harold and Carolyn Matson of Abilene, Kansas, John and Sandy Calpin of Idaho, and David Greeley of Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Ace Mowery; grandmothers, Linda Wood and Creta Urquhart; great grandparents, Bill and Sue Wood; aunt, Kathy O’Brien.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Jerry Ivey Park 735 E Magnolia Rd, Salina, Kansas, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 18th, with Pastor Tom Swihart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kristin Tyler Memorial Fund, c/o Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas.

Dale Allen Porter, 58, of Salina, passed away Saturday, May 11th, at his residence.
Dale was born in Lubbock, Texas on June 21, 1954, to Elva Jane (Ballard) Dunaway and Robert Burns Porter.
Dale graduated high school. He spent over thirty years working as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, and an avid Kansas State fan.
Dale was the husband of Jody (Heberly) Porter.
Survivors include his father; wife, Jody; daughter, Crystal Nashwick, of Salina; sisters, Roberta (James) Braden, Patricia (Brian) Herrs, and Eva Williams, all of Salina; brothers, Larry Porter, of Denver, Colorado and Wayne (Debbie) Porter, of Salina; granddaughter, Allison Nashwick, of Salina; niece, Ashley Heberly, of Salina; nephew, Allen Morabito, of Salina; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Dale was preceded in death by his mother, and sister, June Gale Turner.
A memorial service will be held at at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 19th, with Pastor Jon Filipi officiating. The family requests casual attire for the service, and no Kansas University clothes or hats.
Cremation has been chosen and there will be no visitation.
