AUBURN – Lenora L. (Von Fange) Schneider, 101, formerly of Salina, was a baptized member of Lutheran Church of Missouri Synod all her life.

Lenora started her career as a schoolteacher, was a wife to a farmer and a mother of three, then pursued her career in sales at Salina Consolidated for at least 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Schneider; her daughter, Wavelyn; two of her grandsons; all of her 11 siblings; and her parents.

Her son, James R. Schneider and wife Carolyn reside in Huntsville, Ala., as well as Jim’s son, Yates, and his grandson, Mark. His remaining son lives in Titusville, Fla., and his grandson, Chance. Stephanie resides in Boston. Alyssa resides in a small town outside of Huntsville, Ala., a daughter to Yancey.

Her daughter, E. Jane Nelson resides in Topeka with her daughter, Rebecca Nelson, and Jane’s two grandchildren, Kenneth and Brianna. Jane’s son, Dan and wife Diane, reside in Auburn. Jane’s other daughter, Sandra, resides in Auburn with her husband, Mike. Their children, Danielle, Elizabeth and Christopher, reside in Topeka.

Visitation will be from 12:15-1:45 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. A gravesideservice will be held following visitation, at 3:30 p.m. at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Hunter.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Sharon Kay Koch, 65, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013. She was born Dec. 3, 1947, in North Long Beach, Calif., to Richard C. and Martha M. (Deutscher) Roberts.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bob Koch.

She is survived by her brother, Richard (Gloria) Roberts, of Hutchinson; sister, Beverly and Steve Koerner, of Ozawkie, Kan.; brother, Ken Roberts (Brenda Darnell), of Wichita; and six nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend.

Memorials may be made to the family.

BROOKVILLE – Helen Darlene Watkins, 82, of Brookville, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at her farm home south of Tescott. She was born April 15, 1930, in Lincoln County, the daughter of Bid and Myrtle (Rutledge) Kissick. She was a farm wife.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Norma Lial Watkins (1990); and five brothers, Guy “Bill,” Lloyd “Buster,” Fred, Glenn and Donald Kissick; and two sisters, Dora Kissick and Esther Coopple.

She is survived by her daughter, N. Jolene (Lyle) Norland, of McPherson; and her son, Jerry Watkins, of Tescott.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Friends may call from noon-8 p.m. today, with family present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or Tescott Methodist Church.
