Sandra V. Klein, 77, of Salina, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015. She was born April 3, 1938 in Arvada, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl O. and Frances (Rittgers) Martin.
Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years; husband; Ron R. Klein of the home; two sons; Chris (Terri) Brandt and Tracy Brandt, both of Salina, her brother; Carl Martin of Las Vegas, NV, three grandchildren; Tereya and Alex Brandt, and Justice Williams; and two great-grandchild Camaron and Skylee McConnell.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 2pm-6pm with family to receive guests from 5pm-6pm at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina, KS.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Chapel.

Christopher Scott Allen, 27, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015. He was born July 11, 1988 in Puyallup, WA.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Neal S. “Scotty” Ward.

FLORENCE, KANSAS – Richard L. “Rich” Stroup, 68, passed away October 21, 2015, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. He was born February 3, 1947, at Frankfort, Indiana, the son of Ceryl Kenneth and Evelyn (McQuinn) Stroup. He was a locomotive engineer, spending 32 years with the Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Survivors: wives, Suzan Lynn Stroup of Florence, KS; Marcia Stroup of Lafayette, IN sons: Jason Stroup of Frankfort, IN; Brandon Stroup of Lafayette, IN; Jessie Torrey of Angola, IN; and Tristan Thomas of Anderson, IN; daughters: Heather Jackson of Erwin, TN; Mari Beilfuss of Wichita, KS; and Cody Lacey of Butler, IN; siblings: Sharon Eades of Frankfort, IN; Phil Crum of Mission, TX; Nancy Kehrer of Frankfort, IN; and Shirley Abbott of Zionsville, IN; 24 grandchildren; and his closest cousin, Bob McQuinn of Frankfort, IN. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Florence United Methodist Church, Florence, Kansas. A 2nd memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Frankfort, Indiana, and the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m., until service time. ANNA MAE NEWELL, 90 died October 23, 2015 at Presbyterian Manor in Clay Center, KS. She was born on September 19, 1925 in Wakefield, KS, the daughter of Francis and Reta (Jones) Avery. Anna Mae was raised in the Wakefield community and graduated from Wakefield High School. She took nurses training in Topeka. She married Dale Newell on October 18, 1947. Anna worked as a registered nurse at the Clay Center Hospital and at Tri-Medical Clinic in Clay Center for 10 years. She then helped her husband on the farm and Newell Trucking Co. She was a member of the Milford Congregational Church and the End of the Trail quilters guild of Abilene. She is preceded in death by husband, Dale Newell, parents, a sister and two brothers.

Shirley R. “Rosie” Smith, 75, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS. She was a homemaker.
Shirley was born on September 16, 1940, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of John J. and Edna W. (Christensen) Regier. She attended North Diamond Grade School in Galva, graduated from McPherson High School in 1958, and attended Brown Mackie Business College. Shirley was united in marriage to Billy Joe Smith on May 16, 1959, in Salina, KS.
She was a member of McPherson Hospital Volunteer Services.
Survivors include: her loving husband of 56 years, Billy Joe Smith, Sr. of the home; two sons, Steven Joe Smith and wife, Renee, of McPherson, KS and Billy Joe Smith, Jr. and wife, Angie, of Galva, KS; daughter, Dayna C. Needham and husband, Scot, of McPherson, KS; three brothers, Charles Regier of McPherson, KS, Johnny Keith Regier of Smithville, TX, Agnar Regier (Marlena) of McPherson, KS; sister, Merry Persinger of Mulvane, KS; six grandchildren, Wesston Smith (Amanda), Meghan Gehring (Reese), Kylie Schmidt, Abby Needham, Shane Smith, and Kelcie Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Colt Schmidt and Tatym Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna Regier; son, Tracy Joe Smith; sister, Betty Demieville; brother, Jack Regier; and grandson, Billy Joe Smith, III.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Karen Rice Ratzlaff officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, Oct. 26, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Downs, Ks: Marie M. Grabosch, 90, died October 22, 2015. She was born April 14, 1925 to Godfrey and Marie (Major) Beisel. She worked as a clerk for the power company.
Marie is survived by a daughter, Matasha (Kent) Otte of Overland Park, KS; granddaughters, Erin (Andy) Kenney of Phillipsburg, KS, Amy (Michael) Thomas of Shawnee, KS, and Anne (Randy) Brown of Overland Park, KS; five great granddaughters, and two step-great grandsons.
Preceding her in death were her husband, James, in 1974 and a son, Marshall, in 1987.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Downs, KS. There will be no visitation. A memorial fund has been established to the church. Domoney Funeral Home, P.O. Box 127, Downs, KS is in charge of arrangements.
