Johnny L. “John” Webster, 72, of McPherson and formerly of Marion, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2015, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS. He was a welder at Agco Corp. in Hesston and also was a mechanic at Webster Auto Service in Marion.
Johnny was born on November 28, 1942, in Marion, KS, the son of Marium L. and Nora (Kline) Webster. He graduated from Marion High School in 1962. On October 28, 1967, Johnny was united in marriage to Carolyn A. Mohn in Hillsboro, KS.
Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn of the home; birth daughter, Denise Syverson Roach (Paul) of Colfax, WI; three grandchildren, Jesse Schultz, Kara Schultz, and Deanna Schultz; brother, Lawrence Webster and wife, Glenda, of Wichita, KS; sisters, Jennette Matz and husband, Robert, of Marion, KS and Margo Allen of Las Vegas, NV; and nephews, Barry Allen of Marion, KS, Brian Allen of Las Vegas, NV, Jeff Webster and wife, Deb, of Dallas, TX, and Jason Webster of Wichita, KS.
A private family inurnment will be held at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Hillsboro, KS at a later date.

Marion N. Thul, 63, of Galva and formerly of McPherson, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at his home in Galva. He worked in the plastics industry and was a ranch manager and heavy equipment operator.
Marion was born on September 6, 1952, in Great Bend, KS, the son of Maurice F. and Maxine W. (Strodtmann) Thul. He graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1971. On June 17, 2005, Marion was united in marriage to Sara K. (Carpenter) Foster in Las Vegas, NV.
He was a member of V.F.W. Post #2715 Men’s Auxiliary where he served as Past President. He also was a member of Knights of Columbus and Life Member of A.B.A.T.E. District 9. Marion was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Survivors include: his wife, Sara of the home; sons, Jeremy Thul of McPherson, KS and Travis Thul and wife, Chelsea, of McPherson, KS; mother, Maxine Thul of Ellinwood, KS; two grandsons, Carter and Maddox Thul and a granddaughter on the way; siblings, Maureen Bohlander and husband, Steve, of Ottawa, KS and Mark Thul and wife, Nancy, of Great Bend, KS; his dog, Klaus; and four cats, Frisky, Larry, Curly and Moe.
He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice, and sister, Marla Stucky.
The memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the V.F.W. Post #2715, McPherson.

Virginia L. Haddox, 83, of McPherson, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at her home in McPherson. She worked at CertainTeed Corp. for 26 years as a machine operator.
Virginia was born on April 23, 1932, in Arkansas. She was united in marriage to George Junior Haddox on November 8, 1952, in Manila, AR. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1992.
Survivors include: three daughters, Jerri Smith and husband, Lee, of Kingman, AZ, Debra Huff of McPherson, KS, and Kathy Shadrack of McPherson, KS; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Carl Haddox; two brothers; and three sisters.
Virginia was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at First Christian Church with Rev. Lynn Scott officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
