Peter F. Kent, II, 62, of Salina, passed away Thursday, November 19th, at Salina Regional Health Center.
Peter was born in Austin, Minnesota on August 24, 1953, to Doris A. (Miller) and Peter F. Kent, Sr.
Peter was in the United States Army, working in Army Intelligence, for ten years. Following his stint in the army, Peter was an over-the-road truck driver. He also worked at St. John’s Military School. He was also a ham radio enthusiast and belonged to the local ham radio club.
Survivors include his parents, Doris and Peter Kent, Sr.; sisters, Susan Kent and her significant other Dean Lynaugh, of Gilbert, Arizona, and Cindy and her husband Greg Brockway, of Salina; nephew, Josh Brockway, of Kansas City, Missouri; and niece, Jenny Brockway, of San Diego, California.
Peter was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Jo Kent.
Cremation has been chosen and there will not be visitation. A memorial service will be at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24th, with Pastor Doug Birdsong officiating.

David Brooks Phillips, 61, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 19th, 2015.
David was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on November 8, 1954, a son of Evelyn M. (Nelson) and Winfield B. Phillips.
He worked for many years as a furniture salesman at Ted Augustine Furniture, in Brookville.
Survivors include his parents; daughter, Greta Phillips, son, Ryan Phillips, both of Salina, Kansas; grandson, Gabriel Phillips, of Salina, Kansas; former wife, Jerri Lynn Phillips, of Salina, Kansas; Sister, Evelyn J. Phillips, of Assaria, Kansas; and brother, Nelson B. Phillips, of Lawson, Missouri. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Graveside Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 24th at Assaria Lutheran Cemetery, Assaria, Kansas, with Rev. Laura Smith officiating.

MARION – Lillian L. Leppke, age 94, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Salem Home of Hillsboro, where she has been a resident for nearly two years. She was born July 12, 1921, at Whitewater. She was the daughter of Leonard and Martha (Penner) Harms. She grew up in the Whitewater community and later graduated from Newton High School. On October 19, 1941, she was united in marriage to Elmer Leppke at Grace Hill Mennonite Church of Whitewater. They made their home on a farm south of Marion. Lillian was a homemaker and an antique dealer. She was a member of the Good News Christian Fellowship Church of Marion. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer and five siblings. She is survived by her children: sons, Merle Leppke of Marion; and Bob Leppke of Houston, Texas; and a daughter, Marilyn Heier of Park City; two brothers, Willard Harms of Peabody, and Irvin Harms of Moundridge; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. A visitation will be held from 6:30 -7:30 p.m., Monday evening at Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the Good News Christian Fellowship Church in Marion. Interment will follow in the Marion Cemetery. A Memorial Fund has been established for the Good News Christian Fellowship in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS, 66861.

LEANNA K. SMITH, 86 died November 20, 2015 at Kindred Hospital-Kansas City in Kansas City, MO. She was born on June 13, 1929 in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Jake and Leota (Thomas) Unruh. Leanna married Lawrence Smith on September 30, 1945 in Kansas City. They made their home in Miltonvale, KS. Lawrence preceded her in death on June 30, 1996. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Robert Smith.
